San Pedro Arts District Summer Soiree & Art Sale

On Sunday, July 15th, 2018, the San Pedro Waterfront Arts District (www.SanPedroWaterfrontArtsDistrict.com) is planning our third annual Summer Soiree and Art Sale, a fundraiser to raise money to promulgate more public art, provide arts appreciation education experiences and advocate for the arts in our community.
The event will feature chef made foods, live music by the Alex Smith Trio, a juried art sale and live artists whose work will be offered for sale via silent auction. The work for sale will be hung in the beautiful Art Deco Penthouse loft at 8th and Pacific in San Pedro (our venue for the fundraiser).
This year the Arts District will be honoring the work of local artists, Anne Olsen and Eugene Daub. Anne Olsen Daub (http://www.anneolsendaub.com/) is a jewelry designer, beautifully repurposing old costume pieces into wonderfully reimagined custom treasures. Anne attended Otis-Parsons School of Design, was a Senior Project Designer for Mattel Toys and a fashion designer after graduation. Eugene Daub is an American contemporary figure sculptor, best known for his portraits and figurative monument sculpture created in the classic heroic style. His sculptures reside in three of the nation’s state capitals and in the National Statuary Hall in the United States Capitol. His work appears in public monuments and permanent collections in the United States and Europe.
