H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival
The H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival® & CthulhuCon™ promotes the works of H.P. Lovecraft, literary horror, and weird tales through cinematic adaptations by professional and amateur filmmakers, panel discussions, author readings, gaming, art, and sometimes live music. April 29 – May 1, 2016 at the Warner Grand Theatre.
LoveCraft Wines will be sponsoring a Speak Easy PRE-PARTY before the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival® across the street at Off the Vine. The party will start at 3:30 PM April 29th and will feature LoveCraft Wines, readings, art, music and Marionette H.P. Lovecraft himself reading poetry!
Some of the special events are
- Feature Film The Mist (2007) in Black & White As many of you know director Frank Darabont (Shawshank Redemption) wished he could have released this Stephen King adaptation in black & white. Now see this Lovecraft inspired chiller on the big screen as Darabont intended!
- Sean Patrick O’Reilly, writer/director of the upcoming animated feature film Howard Lovecraft & the Frozen Kingdom will show a segment of the movie and talk about bringing his company Arcana’s graphic novel to the silver screen!
- Authors will be having readings and panel discussions at the nearby Grand Annex.
- Vendors offer a wide supply of memorabilia.
