This one-hour concert, conducted by Dudamel Fellow Gemma New opens with Dvořák’s Slavonic Dances and features his Symphony No. 9, the “New World Symphony.” The program also includes a short original composition by Max Lessor, a South Bay resident and participant in the LA Phil’s prestigious Composer Fellowship Program for high school students.
